"I just got my chest carry system in the mail. I felt like a kid at christmas. It took a bit of adjusting as I have a bit of a belly and found that the weight of that 500 was giving me a wicked wedgy. I got it after a bit and find the backpack straps work great for my life jacket. I cant wait to try an outing with it to see if the kayak paddle hits the grip of the gun. I had hoped that the holster would fit the gun a little bit more snug, I am not complaining as this is the best setup I have found and the quality is unmatched by anything I have found. I suspect any holster for that 500 will be a bit awkward since it is so heavy. I really appreciate the great customer service, you really did a great job answering my questions and getting the order to me in a timely fashion. "I want to let you know I am extremely satisfied with the UBHA-11 holster I purchased from West Wood Landing!

My wife enjoys wilderness area wildlife photography. I am her guide and provide security during these expeditions. I purchased a shoulder holster from Magnum along with my firearm however, often times I am wearing a backpack when we are in the field. There was interference between the backpack and the shoulder holster. On top of that I often had to use two hands to remove the weapon from the Magnum holster.

"I purchased a shoulder holster rig and optional paddle attachment at the Tanner gun show in Colorado. Jerry and Jan were very helpful in helping me select the correct holster and magazine sizes. Jerry spent the time to explain and show me how the straps can be adjusted to move the holster and magazine pouches into almost any position.

The harness is comfortable, easy to put on and take off and is made of quality material. I take care of my weapons and wanted a holster which would not mar my guns finish. The holster is made of Ballistic Nylon then lined with a soft fabric. It's almost like my gun is in a mini sleeping bag.

Now that the termerature has warmed up, I switched from using my shoulder harness to a side paddle holster. The switch took about three minutes and using Jerry's adjustable paddle attachment, my gun is in a perfect position on either side of my body.

I can also switch from paddle holster to wearing my holster on a belt for right hand draw or cross draw or in the swell of my back. All it takes is about one minute to reconfigure.

WestWoods Landing offers a high quality and versatile product. Jerry set me up with one holster and a double magazine clip which fits both my 3.5" Smith and my 5" Beretta. I got two complete setups for the price of one.

"I had a chance to take the holster and backpack chest system out for a 'field test' (I have a Taurus PT-99AFS). I was VERY impressed. My father and I went out for over 2 hours back by Ruby Mountain and here are my thoughts:
* It fits my gun great, and that material inside the holster looks like it will take nice gentle care of my pretty gun. :-)
* It didn't move around much at all while hiking, and we even did some scrambling around in steeper loose rocks on all fours. The gun is obviously very easy to access while positioned there. It was comfortable; I could barely even tell it was there. In fact, I think it counter-balanced some of the weight from the pack and actually made it feel LESS cumbersome.
* It's also nice to know that I can take the holster off the chest-carry harness and put it on my belt easily."
